Three women had a vision to empower adults with developmental, mental, physical and emotional disabilities and where better for a beautiful idea like this to take root than in the beautiful mountain city of Asheville, NC? Debbie Dearborn, Jessie Francis and Sonia Pitts founded the Open Hearts Art Center and opened it’s doors to a partnering of exceptional teachers and enthusiastic students. Through art education, this non-profit, encourages individuals to gain confidence, express their creativity and flourish in the arts community.
