Connie Falcone

Connie moved to Asheville in 2015 after retiring from a career that included special education teacher, therapist, social worker, and administrator for the City of Philadelphia’s Intellectual Disabilities Services. Her retirement dream was to volunteer in an arts program for people with special abilities. When she met an OHAC artist at Manna Foodbank, she was thrilled to learn about OHAC’s mission, which included teaching yoga, another passion she wanted to pursue. She has been a volunteer since 2016 and recently was invited to join the Board. She enjoys working and laughing with the artists and staff and fills the rest of her time with yoga, hiking, gardening, dancing, volunteering at 12 Baskets and occasional mosaic and art projects of her own.
