Medicaid Cuts = $25,000 Annual Loss of Funding
For the first time since we opened our doors in 2005, our Medicaid reimbursement rates have been reduced by 3%.
For perspective, 82% of our revenue comes from Medicaid reimbursement. This will have a catastrophic effect without an increase in public donations.

Support Open Hearts Through Birdies for Charity!
Open Hearts Art Center is excited to participate in Birdies for Charity, a fundraising program hosted by the Biltmore Championship Asheville. The program supports charitable organizations serving Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, and Madison counties while giving donors a fun opportunity to take part in the tournament.
When you donate $20 or more to Open Hearts through Birdies for Charity, your gift will help us continue providing meaningful, arts-based programming and creative opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As part of your donation, you can guess how many birdies will be made during the competition rounds of the 2026 Biltmore Championship Asheville. The person whose guess is closest without going over will win the Ultimate Biltmore Experience, including a three-night stay for two at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, dining experiences, a guided tour of Biltmore House, a Red Wine & Chocolate experience, and valet parking.
